What is Li.Fi?
Cross-chain bridging, swapping and messaging will drive your multi-chain strategy and attract new users from everywhere.

LI.FI API
Integrate our API directly into your dApp.
Our LI.FI REST API allows you to find the best route for any cross-chain and on-chain any-to-any swap. Means you can swap any asset on domain A into any other asset on domain B. We're talking to all the DEXs, DEX aggregators and the bridges between the domains to find the best bridge & swapping route.

dApps: Many users come across a new interesting dApp on a chain they don't have funds in and struggle to get their funds there. This is significant friction in user onboarding as they have to research and find bridges to that chain to start using the dApp.

Yield Aggregators: There are definitely protocols with the better yield on new L2/side-chains but there isn't a secure, reliable way to transfer your funds.

Wallets: Multichain wallets want to compete with CEXs, but they don't have a way to allow easy swap between assets like CEXs

DeFi Protocols: DeFi Dashboards, lending protocols, yield farms, etc., that are present on new chains create a need to do cross-chain swaps, but their users have to wander the ecosystem to quench this need.

Too many bridges to educate yourself about. It'd be good to have access to all of them and get good guidance from people and algorithms that are specialized.

LI.FI does that.
Bridges are still immature so it's good to have not only one bridge but fallback solutions in place. Immaturity comes with security risks, insufficient liquidity and a lot of maintenance overhead.

LI.FI maintains all bridge connections, gives you access to multiple ones and handles fallbacks and decision-making programmatically.
Bridges are most often not enough. You also need DEXs/DEX aggregators as bridges are limited to stablecoins and native currencies.

LI.FI not only aggregates bridges, but also connects to sorts of DEX aggregators and if not available, the DEXs directly in order to find the best swap possible to arrive at the desired token and to allow to start the whole process with any asset.

We're offering the best API:
We support the most chains, bridges, DEX aggregators and single DEXs
We support the Most Routes
We offer the Best Prices
Fastest API (if you only whitelist the bridges & DEXs our competition supports)
Cross-Chain Contract Call Support

Values & Positioning:
Integrity - no misleading comparison. An API with three supported bridges is faster than one with 11.
Supporting all DEX aggregators is slower than supporting just one. Adjust our API to your needs.
We're 100% committed to aggregation
We're 100% focused on B2B, focusing on your, the developer's needs
We're 100% neutral and don't build an own bridge alongside
We allow not only asset transfers but also cross-chain contract calls
We not only aggregate liquidity networks but also allow you to plug in the data messaging bridge of your choice (Axelar, Nomad, LayerZero, Hyperlane - soon)

Monetizability / Take Fees
As an integrator, you can monetize LI.FI and collect fees from our Widget/SDK/API integration.
When calling our SDK/API to request quotes for a transaction, you can pass a fee parameter specifying the percentage fee you'd be taking from the requested transaction. This percentage fee will be deducted from the user's initial asset and collected in a FeeCollection sub-contract inside LI.FI Contracts. You can then withdraw the funds from the wallet specified by you during our integration.

FAQ
If your token is already supported by a bridge or listed on a DEX, we should support it.
LI.FI does not take any fee by default. As an integrator have the option the specify a percentage fee you would like to collect from your users.
You would also request a quote from our API and pass the call data to your contract.

Your contract has to approve the token to the LI.FI contract and execute the call to it.
Not at the moment. Perhaps in the future we will support this.
The user who submits the transaction pays for the gas costs on the source chain. The bridge collects some fees from the tokens the user sends to pay for the gas on the destination chain.
